1. Clearance rate
Substances with a relative molecular mass of less than 300 are called small molecules, such as creatinine and urea. When the blood flow is 200ml/min, the clearance rate of urea is 150~190ml/min, and the clearance rate of creatinine is 130~170ml/min. The clearance rate of medium-molecular substances such as vitamin B12 is 30~60ml/min in low-flow dialyzers and can reach 150ml/min in high-flow dialyzers. It is mainly related to the dialysis membrane material, thickness, area and process level.
2. Ultrafiltration coefficient
The dialyzer ultrafiltration coefficient (kuf) refers to the number of milliliters of liquid that passes through the membrane per hour at a transmembrane pressure of 1mmHg, in units of ml/(h·mmHg). Clinically, a kuf greater than 20ml/(h·mmHg) is usually called a high-flux dialyzer.
3. Blood chamber priming volume
The blood chamber priming volume of hollow fiber dialyzer is generally 50~120mI, which is related to the dialyzer membrane area.
4. Withstand pressure
The general standard for the withstand pressure of the dialyzer membrane is not more than 66.67kPa (500mmHg). The strength of the reused dialyzer is reduced.
