Product Description
The dialysis blood tubing set is a medical device used during hemodialysis to provide a safe and effective blood channel for blood purification. This set includes a series of tubes and connectors that link the patient's bloodstream to the dialysis machine. It consists of two primary components: the arterial bloodline and the venous bloodline.

The arterial bloodline carries blood from the patient's body to the dialysis machine. Key components include:
- Dialysis connector cover
- Dialysis connector
- PVC tube
- Blood injection site
- Protective cap
- Drip chamber and cover
- Blood filter
- Self-ejecting patient connector and ring
- On-off clamp
- Pump segment and connector
- TP (transducer protector)
- Tee joint
The venous bloodline returns filtered blood from the dialysis machine to the patient's body. It includes similar components as the arterial bloodline, with minor variations to suit its specific function.
The dialysis blood tubing set can be equipped with an irrigation device and a drain bag for handling fluids. The irrigation device consists of components like a connector, puncture connector, air inlet device, spike, drip chamber, fluid filter, flow regulator, and PVC tube. The drain bag includes a protective cap, luer connector, on-off clamp, PVC tube, liquid bag, and outlet.
The entire set is sterilized using ethylene oxide and is designed for single-use to ensure patient safety and prevent infections. It is used in a clinical setting by healthcare professionals to facilitate hemodialysis, helping patients manage their condition through effective blood purification.
What happens during hemodialysis?
Hemodialysis is a medical procedure that treats kidney failure by filtering waste products, excess fluid, and toxins from the blood. First, the patient inserts two needles through a vascular access (usually a fistula, graft, or catheter) in the arm. One needle delivers blood from the body to the dialysis machine (arterial line), and the other needle returns the filtered blood to the body (venous line). The blood then enters the artificial kidney (dialyzer) in the dialysis machine through the arterial line, and the dialysis machine's pump draws the blood into the dialyzer. The blood in the dialyzer flows through fine fibers made of semipermeable membranes, and the dialysate (dialysate) flows around these fibers but does not mix with the blood. This allows waste products and excess fluid to pass from the blood through the semipermeable membrane into the dialysate, while keeping the necessary substances in the blood. The clean blood filtered by the dialyzer returns to the body through the venous line. Throughout the process, the dialysis machine continuously monitors parameters such as blood pressure and flow rate to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the treatment. After the treatment is completed, the needle in the vascular access is removed and bandaged. The dialysis process is usually performed several times a week, depending on the patient's medical needs.
